Argentina got off to a hot start and never looked back in a 4-0 win over the United States in front of 70,858 fans at NRG Stadium in Houston on Tuesday night. The semifinal win puts Argentina in the Copa América Centenario final against the winner of Chile vs. Colombia, while the U.S. will face the loser in the third place match.

Argentina started the scoring just three minutes in. Lionel Messi lifted a pass into the penalty area for Ezequiel Lavezzi, who finished easily past Brad Guzan. Messi doubled the lead just after the half hour mark with a spectacular free kick from 25 yards, picking out the far upper corner perfectly.

Gonzalo Higuaín continued the scoring five minutes into the second half, then collected a pass from Messi in the 86th minute for the brace and a ticket to East Rutherford, New Jersey for the tournament final.
