Morgan Brian and Carli Lloyd were selected by U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Jill Ellis for a training camp ahead of their next match against South Africa on July 9. The 24-player roster was announced by U.S. Soccer earlier today.

Brian has earned 54 caps with the USWNT and won the Golden Ball as the most outstanding player at the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship last February. The 23-year-old midfielder will be available for selection tonight as the Houston Dash visit the Orlando Pride at 6:30 p.m. CDT (HoustonDashSoccer.com/Live) at Camping World Stadium.

Lloyd has missed the last seven Dash matches due to a knee injury she suffered in April. She also missed a pair of USWNT matches against Japan at the beginning of June. The reigning FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year has been working hard to be ready for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and she is looking to make her return to competitive action against South Africa.

The Dash return to BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, July 16 to host the undefeated Portland Thorns FC on Pride Night. To purchase tickets, a ticket package or for more information, call (713) 276-GOAL or visit HoustonDashSoccer.com/tickets.
