Sprint (NYSE: S) is now the official wireless provider of the Houston Dynamo, the company announced today. Specific terms of the multi-year agreement were not released, per club policy.

“We are thrilled to announce a new multi-year partnership with Sprint beginning in the current 2016 MLS season. Both organizations share a similar vision in regards to their commitment to excellence related to both their product and their commitment to the customer’s experience,” said Steven Powell, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of the Dynamo, Houston Dash and BBVA Compass Stadium. “We ask Dynamo fans to join us in welcoming Sprint to the Forever Orange family and in supporting the wireless provider that keeps the Dynamo connected to one another and to our fans, no matter where we are.”

As part of the agreement, the Dynamo’s regular-season home game on Wednesday, Aug. 24 against Seattle Sounders FC will be Social Media Night presented by Sprint. With Sprint being extremely active on social media, a number of special promotions and contests on different social media platforms will be announced leading up to that game, making it a natural fit for the wireless carrier.

Additionally, fans will be encouraged to submit their most inspirational music playlists as part of a “Locker Room Jams” contest leading up to the home finale against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Oct. 16, and a Dynamo player will choose the winning playlist. The winner will receive a number of prizes, including autographed Dynamo gear, premium seats for the match and other unique experiences.

“Sprint’s passion for soccer combined with a highly reliable wireless network in Texas is the reason we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities we have through our partnership with the Houston Dynamo,” said John Stevens, Sprint President for the Central Texas Region. “We’re looking forward to further engaging with Houston soccer fans this season and deepening our ties to the local community.”
