Team Notes

  • This was the fourth game that was delayed by weather this season and the second match rescheduled. This is the second time in club history that a home match has been rescheduled due to weather. The match against Real Salt Lake (1-0 victory) on May 14 was postponed to the following day due to inclement weather and the match against DC United (0-0 draw) on June 19 had a delay. The other weather delay came on the road in Frisco for a match against FC Dallas (1-1 draw) on June 2.
  • With the draw the Dynamo have a 1-0-3 record in rescheduled or delayed matches this season.
  • After the draw the Dynamo are now 4-10-9 on the season and 4-1-6 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
  • The Dynamo are unbeaten in their last four matches against Toronto FC. The Dynamo are now 6-4-10 all-time against Toronto and 3-1-6 at home.
  • Interim head coach Wade Barrett is now 1-3-7 on the Dynamo sideline.
  • Houston has a 0-1-1 record in August following a 1-1-3 record in July.


Player Notes

  • F Mauro Manotas made his first MLS start and recorded his first assist in league play. His last assist came in the U.S. Open Cup on June 17, 2015 against the Austin Aztex.
  • MF Cristian Maidana scored his third goal of the season in the eighth minute. The midfielder’s last goal came on July 2 against the Philadelphia Union.
  • D Abdoulie Mansally was ejected for the first time this season. It was his first ejection with the Dynamo and fourth in his MLS career. The defender is the third Dynamo player ejected this season. Alex Lima was the last Dynamo player ejected, in a 1-1 draw at Vancouver on May 28.
  • MF Ricardo Clark made his 299th career MLS appearance. The midfielder came on as a substitute in the 65th minute for Maidana.
  • In the 73rd minute Clark passed Cobi Jones (25,145) in career MLS regular-season minutes for a field player with 25,146. Clark is now 25th on the all-time MLS regular-season minutes list with 25,163.
  • D Raul Rodriguez came on as a substitute in the 46th minute for MF Andrew Wenger. This was the first time Rodriguez was subbed on in an MLS match.
  • F Will Bruin made his 21st appearance of the season. He came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute for Manotas.
