The Houston Dash returned to BBVA Compass Stadium after a two-game road trip to defeat the Orlando Pride 4-2 for the first time in franchise history.

Janine Beckie scored the first goal of the game in the 24th minute as a cross from Carli Lloyd cut across the face of goal. The Canadian forward beat Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris for her second goal of the season.

Poliana scored her first goal for the club in the 49th minute. The Brazilian defender controlled a corner kick from Andressa but her initial shot was saved by Harris. Poliana’s rebound shot beat the keeper at the far post.

Kealia Ohai scored her first goal of the game in the 62nd minute. The forward dribbled towards the center of the box from the left flank and curled a shot that beat Harris at the far post. The team captain has now scored in six out of her last seven games.

Orlando scored their first goal of the game in the 80th minute on a set piece outside the box. D Kristen Edmonds' low free kick found F Alex Morgan inside the six-yard box and her shot beat Dash goalkeeper Lydia Williams at the far post.

Edwards found the net on her own in the 87th minute. The defender collected a ball cleared by a Dash defender inside the box and beat Williams at the far post.

Ohai scored her league-leading ninth goal of the season in the 95th minute. Melissa Henderson won the ball at midfield and found Beckie in the center circle. The forward found Ohai making a run toward the box and the team captain beat Harris at the far post for the final goal of the game.

This is the first time the Dash defeated the Pride and the first time this season that Houston has won back-to-back games.

Houston travels to Portland for its final away game of the regular season. Houston returns to BBVA Compass Stadium on Sept. 11 to host the Boston Breakers.
