Today marks the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month in the U.S., where we celebrate "the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America." To kick off the celebrations, Fútbol MLS commissioned the folks from La Casaca to create custom Hispanic Heritage Month kits for each MLS club, drawing inspiration from players and their native countries.

For the Dynamo, Franco Carabajal took inspiration from Boniek García and the guacamaya or scarlet macaw, the national bird of Honduras.

Carabajal substituted orange for the guayacama's traditional scarlet plumage and added the bird's distinctive yellow, greens, and blues to the bottom of the jersey, with sublimated lines mimicking feathers. If you look closely at the jock tag at the bottom of the shirt, you'll also see the Dynamo crest colored to Honduras' blue, as well as the Honduran flag inside the collar.

The team's resident catrachos give the shirt their ringing endorsement.
