Steven Gerrard not available for LA Galaxy on Sunday vs. Houston Dynamo

LA Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard will miss Sunday's match against the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium (4:15 p.m., TICKETS), Bruce Arena informed media at training on Thursday. The Designated Player is currently in Liverpool rehabbing a hamstring injury.

Gerrard started and played 69 minutes in LA's last match, a 1-0 loss at FC Dallas on October 1. This was after missing four games with hamstring issues and then coming on as a substitute on September 25. The Englishman has three goals and 11 assists in 2016.


Arena also said that forward Robbie Keane's status is in the air for Sunday's match. The 2014 MLS MVP trained separate from the team on Thursday. The Galaxy will also be without center back Jelle Van Damme, who is suspended for yellow card accumulation after he picked up his ninth of the season against FC Dallas.
