Houston Dynamo defender DaMarcus Beasley has been called in to the United States Men’s National Team ahead of next week’s FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, U.S. Soccer announced today.

Beasley is the fifth Dynamo player to be called in for national team duty, after defender Adolfo Machado was called by Panama and forwards Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto and midfielder Boniek García were called by Honduras.

Beasley will join the Stars and Stripes following the Dynamo game on Saturday night. Houston travels to Portland for its first away game of the season this weekend to face the Portland Timbers at 9:30 p.m. CST. That game will be televised live on KUBE TV Ch. 57, with the pregame show starting at 9:00 p.m.
