After suffering their first defeat of the young season, the Houston Dynamo took a short drop in this week's arbitrary rankings around the web.
The quick ascent over on the MLSsoccer.com mothership was halted, as the Dynamo fell from Seventh Best Team in Major League Soccer to Ninth Best Team in Major League Soccer. Here's what their editors had to say after the weekend:
"Even in losing, the Dynamo made the high-flying Timbers work. Although Houston's counterattack will continue to give plenty of teams fits, they still need to prove they can also chase a result and break teams down."
The Dynamo had climbed up to No. 5 in Sports Illustrated's estimation last week, but fell three spots this week to No. 8.
