DYNAMO STARTING XI (4-4-2):

STARTING XI NOTES:

  • The Dynamo are using their eighth different starting lineup in eight games thus far on the season.
  • After starting in a 4-3-3 formation for the first six games of the season, the Dynamo will open the game in a 4-4-2 formation for the second consecutive game.
  • MF Alex is making his 46th start overall for the Dynamo and the 94th of his MLS career. If he continues to start every game, Alex would start his 100th career game on May 31 at home vs. Real Salt Lake.
  • MF Eric Alexander will make his seventh start of the season, his 10th as a member of the Dynamo and the 137th of his career tonight.
  • DF DaMarcus Beasley will wear the captain’s armband for the second consecutive match. He wore the armband 15 times as a starter in 2016.
  • Beasley will make his 155th career start and 67th as a Dynamo tonight.
  • MF Juan David Cabezas will make his third start with the Dynamo and his second in a row tonight.
  • DF A.J. DeLaGarza returns to the Starting XI after missing the last three games with a right calf injury. DeLaGarza is set to make his 201st career start in tonight’s game.
  • FW Alberth Elis makes his seventh start of the season and his fourth in a row tonight. Elis has played in all seven games this season and will extend that streak to eight at the opening whistle.
  • MF Boniek García is making his fourth consecutive start tonight. He is set to make his 127th career appearance in MLS competition.
  • DF Leonardo will make his second consecutive start, his fifth with the Dynamo and the 84th of his career tonight. He will be making his 90th career appearance in MLS regular-season play.
  • DF Adolfo Machado is starting his eighth consecutive game. He and Alex are the only two players to have started every game this season.
  • FW Erick Torres will make his 15th start for the Dynamo and his 59th overall in MLS play.
  • With tonight’s match, Torres will have played in 37 games under Dynamo head coach Wilmer Cabrera and 37 games without Cabrera as his coach. Torres has 22 goals in 36 games under Cabrera and had just seven goals in 37 games without Cabrera as coach.
  • GK Joe Willis will make his 52nd career start and his third in a row this season. Willis started 24 games a year ago for the Dynamo.


SUBSTITUTES BENCH:

  • GK Tyler Deric would make just his second career appearance as a substitute if he were to enter the game tonight.
  • After making his first career start last Saturday, DF Kevin Garcia is on the substitutes bench and could make his third consecutive appearance if he enters the game.
  • FW Mauro Manotas can make his 38th career MLS appearance if he enters the game tonight.
  • DF Dylan Remick is in the 18-man matchday roster for the seventh time in eight games.
  • FW Romell Quioto was included the matchday roster for the third consecutive match after missing two games due to an injured left shoulder.
  • FW Vicente Sánchez is on the bench for the fourth consecutive game and stands to make his fourth appearance of the season if he comes in as a substitute this afternoon.
  • FW Andrew Wenger is in the 18-man matchday lineup for the eighth consecutive game.


UPDATES ON PLAYERS NOT DRESSING:

  • MF Ricardo Clark is not in the 18-man matchday roster while he recovers from a strained left adductor. This marks the first time since August 2015 that Clark will miss consecutive league games.
