Dynamo Charities to host inaugural Foot Golf Tournament June 24

2017 Footgolf Tournament

Dynamo Charities, the official non-profit charitable arm of the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash, will host the inaugural Dynamo Charities Foot Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 24 at Humble Foot Golf Course.

Teams consist of five players and can be purchased for $400/team or individuals can join for $85/person. Fees include 18 holes of foot golf, a Dynamo-branded tournament gift as well as food and drink at the event.  Tournament and hole sponsorship opportunities are also available.  For more information visit HoustonDynamo.com/footgolf.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Dynamo Charities and the Dynamo Unified Special Olympics Team. Check-in starts at noon with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Following the tournament, an awards and recognition ceremony will be held.

“Dynamo Charities is proud to host its inaugural Foot Golf Tournament,” said Chris Canetti, President, Dynamo Charities. “This event is a great way to bring together fans of the Houston Dynamo and Dash, as well as raise money for a great cause in a fun and unique way.”

A departure from traditional fundraising golf tournaments, the Dynamo Charities Foot Golf Tournament showcases a unique and popular new sport which combines golf with soccer and which directly reflects the culture of the Dynamo and soccer fans in general.

The rules of the game in foot golf are similar to traditional golf, but players compete on shortened holes and use regulation soccer balls. Greens on a foot golf course feature 21-inch diameter cups which players putt into. Anyone can play, from children to adults and from soccer novices to seasoned athletes.
