Three Houston Dash players called into national team duty

Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell and forwards Janine Beckie and Nichelle Prince have been named to their respective national teams for international fixtures during the FIFA window.


Campbell will join the U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team for three games in the 2017 Women’s U-23 Open Nordic Tournament in Europe against Norway on June 6, England on June 9 and three days later against the host nation, Sweden.  Campbell has started one game for Houston after being selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft.


Beckie and Prince will join the Canadian Women’s National Team for two matches against Costa Rica on June 8 in Winnipeg and June 11 in Toronto. Beckie has started seven games for Houston this season and Prince made her Dash debut on April 22 against Seattle Reign FC in Memorial Stadium.


The three players will be available for selection this weekend as Houston travels to Maryland for its second game against the Washington Spirit. The match will be available on the Go90 app and NWSLSoccer.com. Beckie, Prince and Campbell will return to BBVA Compass Stadium on June 17 as the Dash welcome Marta and the Orlando Pride.
