Romell Quioto and Alberth Elis brought their MLS scoring to World Cup qualifying, as both found the back of the net for Honduras in a 2-2 draw against Panama on Tuesday night. Boniek GarcĂa was an unused sub for Honduras, while Adolfo Machado was not on the gameday roster for the match.

Quioto opened the scoring just six minutes into the game as he followed up on a save from Panama goalkeeper Jaime Peñedo. Peñedo pushed away a header from a free kick, but Quioto reached the endline before the ball crossed all the way over and shot off the keeper's back to redirect in the net.

Blas Perez drew Panama level before the halftime break, but Elis showcased his speed and finishing ability on a classic counterattack in the second half to restore the Honduras lead.

Los Catrachos were denied the upset and three points in the 89th minute, however, as RomĂ¡n Torres slid in to earn a late draw. The result keeps Panama in fourth place in the Hex (1-1-4, 7 points), a point behind the U.S. in third. Honduras also keeps its spot in fifth place (1-3-2, 5 points) but is still within striking distance of the qualifying spots.

Elis, GarcĂa, Machado, and Quioto now return to the States to rejoin the team ahead of Saturday's MLS matchup against the LA Galaxy (10 p.m. CT | UniMĂ¡s, Facebook Live).
