Dynamo acquire $175,000 in Allocation Money, 2018 International Roster Slot in trade with D.C. United

The Houston Dynamo acquired $175,000 in allocation money, a 2018 International roster slot and the No. 9 position in the MLS Allocation Order in a trade with D.C. United, the club announced today. The Dynamo will trade the No. 1 position in the Allocation Ranking to D.C. in return.


Houston will receive $100,000 in General Allocation Money and $75,000 in Targeted Allocation Money in the trade. Information on General Allocation Money and Targeted Allocation Money may be found in the 2017 MLS Roster Rules & Regulations.


The International roster spot will give Houston eight international slots for the 2018 season. Houston acquired a 2017 international slot from Portland on January 13 during the MLS SuperDraft, giving the club eight slots for the season.


TRANSACTION: The Houston Dynamo trade the No. 1 position in 2017 MLS Allocation Ranking Order to D.C. United in exchange for No. 9 position in Allocation Ranking Order, $100,000 in General Allocation Money, $75,000 in Targeted Allocation Money and 2018 International roster slot.
