Translated from Spanish

(on his MLS debut) “Well, the most important thing is that we won. I think that it was an important result, we had to win and that’s what we did. I played 28 minutes, maybe 30 minutes and I was a bit tired – I am not used to this humidity or heat. I think that I need a few more games under my belt to build a rhythm and improve.”

(on the instructions he received from Dynamo head coach Wilmer Cabrera) “He just told me to remain calm, find space behind their midfielders and maintain possession so we could close out the game with one or two more goals.”

(on how long it will take him to get used to the heat) “Honestly, it has more to do with developing a rhythm. I had not played a competitive game in a while and everyone here is preparing for the final phase of the regular season. Everyone here has a good rhythm and are playing at a high level. I believe that with one or two more games, I can generate that rhythm and learn more about this league.”

(on FW Vicente Sanchez’s first goal) “To be honest, I am very happy for him. I have been treated well by everyone since I arrived, he brings something different and with his experience he just brings this calm approach. He always wants us to be on the same page and he is able to help those that need to adapt. Also, we are both from South America and that has helped me as someone coming from the outside and well outside of that he just has so much experience in this sport.”
