Sept. 23 Dynamo game at New York City FC relocated to East Hartford, CT

Rentschler Field

The Houston Dynamo’s game at New York City FC on September 23 has been relocated from Yankee Stadium to the Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT, NYCFC announced today.

This venue change comes as a result of a New York Yankees game that had to be rescheduled due to rain. Pratt & Whitney Stadium, located in East Hartford, CT, has hosted multiple U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team games with the most recent coming on July 1, 2017, when the Men’s team defeated Ghana 2-1 in front of 28,754 fans.

Kickoff for the game is still scheduled for 2 p.m. CDT, and the game will be televised nationally on UniMás (CHANNEL GUIDE).

Houston Dynamo fans who have purchased tickets to this match may call 855-77-NYCFC to speak to a member of the NYCFC Fan Services team to understand their options.

This week, the Dynamo travel to Frisco face FC Dallas on Wednesday night in the nationally-televised finale of the 2017 Texas Derby (7 p.m. CDT; UniMás, Facebook Live) before returning home to host Sporting Kansas City in a fight for first place in the MLS Western Conference table on Saturday night (8 p.m. CDT; UniMás 67).

The Dynamo are currently third in the West with 37 points and a 10-8-7 record, three points behind Sporting and the Seattle Sounders. Tickets for the Sporting Kansas City start at $24 and may be purchased online at HoustonDynamo.com, by phone at 713-276-GOAL or at the BBVA Compass Stadium box office.
