On scoring two goals to tie the Texas Derby…

It’s always good to score in important matches, especially in a derby. It’s a different sensation, an experience, and different than the goals you score in regular matches. Thankfully, I was able to score in derbies with Chivas against Atlas and America. Those are very different feelings. Now I get to score again in the Texas Derby. It is really beautiful. It’s a different sensation. I am very happy due to my teammates’ performance that helped me so that I can score again. First of all, thankful to God for this opportunity, for these goals and also for the coaching staff and my teammates.

On him being able to score again…

I always try to focus on my own game. I always try to beat the opponent, to make my movements, my change of rhythm inside the opponents’ area. Thank God today, the spaces were open and I had the opportunities. The first goal comes from an assist of my teammate [Romell Quioto] and I was able to turn and finish it quickly.

The second one was a textbook opportunity for a striker. I needed to be inside the penalty-box, cautious of the ball, hunting the opportunities and my job is to be there. I am thankful for all my teammates. Also, I had the opportunity to give an assist. It is a great game for me. Now it is time to rest and flip the page for the next match.

On being able to come back on the road…

It is a big point for the team. The mentality is very important. The mental strength the team showed. I mean, to comeback from a 3-1 deficit against a team like FC Dallas, who defends well and in 45 minutes score twice on them and try to get the win is something that we have to value. The team never gave up, the coaching staff kept pushing us to keep to try to get the win. Thank God we got the point in a very adverse situation.
