It’s On! The Houston Dynamo are in the thick of a tightly-contested playoff race in the MLS Western Conference, and beginning today, Dynamo fans can secure their seat to be a part of the playoff excitement should the Dynamo host a postseason match at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Starting today, fans can pre-purchase 2017 Audi MLS Cup Playoff ticket strips which start at $60 and include tickets to potential playoff matches at BBVA Compass Stadium in the Knockout Round, the Western Conference Semifinal and Western Conference Final. The MLS Cup, should the Dynamo host that match, will be a separately-ticketed event.

“Returning to the playoffs has been a primary goal for the club this year. While we know that there is a lot of work yet to be done on the field, we must begin to prepare for that possibility now,” said Dynamo President Chris Canetti. “The playoff race could go down to the final weekend, and if it does, then the turnaround time before the first playoff game would be only a matter of days. By getting out front on this possibility, like most pro sports teams across all leagues do, it gives the club and our fans the best opportunity to be prepared when that day comes.”

Dynamo Season Ticket Members who pre-purchase a playoff strip will receive exclusive price discounts compared to general public pricing; and Members who reserve their seats before Oct. 12 will be able to secure their current seats throughout the playoffs. Members may purchase playoff ticket strips online through their account portal or by calling their personal account manager or dialing 713-276-7500.

General fans can purchase playoff strips online at HoustonDynamo.com/PlayoffCentral or by calling 713-276-GOAL. Playoff strips offer savings on all three potential games and preferred seating.

Any home games not played in the 2017 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs will be credited to each individual’s ticket account to be used for the 2018 season.

The 2017 MLS regular season concludes on Sunday, Oct. 22, with the Dynamo hosting the Chicago Fire at 3 p.m. CDT on “Decision Day.” The Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Oct. 26 with single-elimination Knockout Round matches between the third- and sixth-seeded teams in each conference and fourth- and fifth-seeded teams. The higher-seeded team will host each Knockout Round match.

The Western Conference Semifinals and Finals will be two-leg home-and-home series, with the first and second seeds in the conference taking on the two Knockout Round winners in the Semifinal. The higher-seeded team in each series will host the second match in each series. The Semifinals will kick off on Sunday, Oct. 29 and Tuesday, Oct. 31; and the Conference Finals will start on Tuesday, Nov. 21.

The 2017 MLS Cup will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the home field of the team with better regular-season record. The Dynamo have advanced to the MLS Cup final four times in the club’s first 12 years and took home the cup following the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

The Dynamo currently sit in fifth place in the Western Conference table with a 10-9-8 record and 38 points with seven games remaining in the regular season. Houston is two points clear of the Red Line and are just six points out of first place in a very tightly-bunched Western Conference field.

Houston travels to San Jose to face the seventh-place Earthquakes this Saturday, Sept. 16, at 9:30 p.m. CDT at Avaya Stadium. Five of the Dynamo’s last seven games are against Western Conference foes.
