Jedi may not crave adventure and excitement, but Houston Dynamo fans do! The Force returns to BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, June 9 when the Dynamo host the Colorado Rapids on Star Wars Night. Episode III of Dynamo Star Wars Night will kick off at VIII (8) p.m. CDT.

Soccer fans can go like Han Solo by purchasing individual-game tickets, which start at $29; but to avoid being called a scruffy-looking nerf herder, they’ll need a special Star Wars Pack, which includes a ticket to the game and a limited-edition Star Wars-themed Dynamo scarf for $34.

The Star Wars-themed scarves have become collector’s items for Dynamo fans over the last two years, and this year’s edition – which features Darth Vader on one side and Han’s Wookiee sidekick Chewbacca on the other – promises to further add to those collections.

The Dynamo will hold a “Luke-alike” contest for the fan with the best Star Wars-themed costume at the game. And while Luke Skywalker might – or might not? – be the Last Jedi, characters from all sectors of the galaxy are welcome to enter.

Tickets are available online at HoustonDynamo.com, by phone at 713-276-GOAL or at the BBVA Compass Stadium box office. The match will be televised live on KUBE TV Ch. 57, and it will be broadcast on radio by SportsRadio 610 AM and KLAT 1010 AM in English and Spanish, respectively. The television broadcast will also offer a simulcast in the Wookiee language of Shriiwook by using the WAP button, available on select television models.

Star Wars is arguably the most popular movie franchise in cinematic history, with more than $9 billion in total global sales since “Episode IV: A New Hope” was released in 1977. The newest film to take fans back to a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away will be “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” which opens nationwide on May 25.
