The Houston Dynamo have waived midfielder Charlie Ward, the club announced today.
Ward joined the Dynamo organization in 2016 when he arrived at the team’s USL affiliate, RGV Toros FC. During his time with the Toros, Ward played 42 regular season matches with 38 starts. The Redditch, England native saw action in one MLS regular-season match for the Dynamo first team, coming on as a halftime substitute at D.C. United on July 22, 2017, and played in two matches in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
With this transaction, there are now 28 players on the Dynamo first-team roster, and now have one open international roster slot.
