Academy Roundup: Nearly a clean sweep at Houston Sports Park

The Houston Dynamo Academy was back home at Houston Sports Park last weekend hosting Texans SC Houston, and nearly ran out with a perfect slate of results.


U-19: Win 3-0 vs. Texans SC Houston – It was a level game until the 76th minute when Marcelo Palomino put the Dynamo Academy ahead. Jesus Ortiz and Jalen Anderson followed with goals in the 82nd and 84th minutes, respectively, to see out the result.


U-17: Loss 2-0 vs. Texans SC Houston – The Dynamo fell behind in the 27th minute, but gave up a second goal in the 90th minute as they pushed for an equalizer.


U-15:

U-14: Win 2-0 vs. Texans SC Houston – Christian Casteneda put the Dynamo ahead late in the 75th minute, and Luis Lugo followed up with a goal in the 80th minute for the final scoreline.


U-13:Win 4-0 vs. Texans SC Houston – Four different players got on the scoresheet as the Dynamo cruised to a big win. Mateo Ghercioiu opened the scoring in the 12th minute, then Ricardo Garcia and Zacarias Escobar-Bowie went back-to-back in the 21st and 25th minutes. Yousuf Saeed found the net twenty minutes later to put the game to bed.


Last Weekend at Home


This weekend is the final weekend for the Dynamo Academy at Houston Sports Park in the 2017-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy regular season. The teams will take on their counterparts from the Dynamo Youth Academy this Saturday, then head to Austin for the final weekend of games on June 2.
