The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF), Soccer United Marketing (SUM), Lone Star Sports and Entertainment and the Houston Dynamo announced today that the Mexican National Team will visit Houston’s NRG Stadium on Friday, September 7 (8:30 PM CT). The game, to be played during FIFA international calendar fixture dates, will be the first for Mexico following their participation in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Tickets for the match go on sale to the general public on Thursday, May 31st at 10 a.m. CT via MexTour.org, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
The match will be the 17th time that the Mexican National Team has visited NRG Stadium since 2003. Houston has long served as a home-away-from-home for the Mexican team, which over the years has drawn capacity crowds at NRG Stadium. The squad last played at the home of the NFL’s Houston Texans on June 28, 2017 in a 1-0 win over Ghana as part of last year’s U.S. Tour.
