THE RESULT:

  • Dropped Houston’s record to 7-8-3 on the year and 1-6-4 on the road.
  • Moved Houston’s all-time record against Portland to 4-5-4 overall and 1-5-1 in Portland.


TEAM NOTES:

  • The Dynamo conceded the first goal of the game for the ninth time this year when Portland scored in the seventh minute. They are now 1-5-3 when giving up the game’s first goal.
  • Houston and Portland were tied at intermission, with the score knotted at 1-1. It was ninth time this year that the Dynamo have been tied at halftime, and they are now 2-4-3 in those games.
  • Houston used their 21st different starting lineup this season. Head coach Wilmer Cabrera has now used 53 different lineup combinations in 55 games as the Dynamo head coach since the start of the 2017 season.
