Alberth Elis named to MLS Team of the Week for Week 29, presented by Audi

Houston Dynamo forward Alberth Elis terrorized the Portland Timbers over the weekend and landed on the MLS Team of the Week for Week 29, presented by Audi.

Elis grabbed a goal in the 32nd minute, heading in a free kick from Tomás Martínez. Elis also drew the foul that led to set piece, pulled back by a Portland defender as he sped in the open field towards goal. Seven minutes later, Elis turned provider as he turned on the jets on the right flank on quick build-up and slid a low cross into the path of Mauro Manotas.

The young Honduran once again helped set up a goal as he showed off his dribbling skills in the 71st minute and put in a cross that could not be handled by the Portland goalkeeper, resulting in Manotas' second goal of the night. This is Elis' fifth appearance on the MLS Team of the Week in 2018.
