Five Houston Dynamo players have been out on international duty this week, playing in assorted friendlies across the globe during the FIFA international break.

Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto were with Honduras in Spain, where they faced the United Arab Emirates. Both forwards started in their contest on Thursday, with Quioto scoring in the 1-1 draw.

Arturo Alvarez appeared as a substitute for El Salvador in their Concacaf Nations League Qualifying match against Barbados. The forward played the final 10 minutes in Los Cuscatlecos’ 3-0 victory on Saturday night.

Adolfo Machado and Ronaldo Peña were also on duty with Panama and Venezuela, respectively, but did not see action. Panama fell 3-0 to Japan on Friday, and will play South Korea on Tuesday. Venezuela was defeated 4-2 by the Basque Country national team in a non-FIFA friendly on Friday. They will take on the UAE in Barcelona on Tuesday, where Peña will hope to receive his first senior international cap.
