Thembi Kgatlana will join University of Western Cape (UWC) in South Africa’s SASOL League on loan during the offseason, the club announced today.

The SASOL League is made up of nine provinces. The winners of each province are drawn into two groups to determine the fixtures of the SASOL national championships.

Kgatlana scored two goals and tallied three assists in 16 appearances for the Dash last season. The South Africa international was a signed as a discovery player in February and was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2018 Cyprus Women’s Cup in March.

The forward will join Linda Motlhalo and Banyana Banyana in Ghana next month for the African Women's Cup of Nations. The tournament  will also determine which national teams will represent the Confederation of African Football at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France next summer.

The forward is one of six players that will join a foreign team on loan this offseason. Amber Brooks, Sofia Huerta, Veronica Latsko, Clare Polkinghorne and Kyah Simon are currently on loan in Australian for the 2018/2019 Westfield W-League season.
