Dash trio named to Canadian roster for first friendlies of 2019

Forward Nichelle Prince and defenders Lindsay Agnew and Allysha Chapman have been named to the Canadian Women’s National Team roster ahead of the team’s first friendlies of the new year. The CanWNT will travel to Europe to take on Switzerland on January 17 and Norway on January 22. Canada enters 2019 having qualified for this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup after finishing second in the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship.  


Prince scored a goal and tallied two assists in 20 appearances for the Houston this season. The forward was also a nominee for the 2018 CONCACAF Best XI – Forward. Agnew joined the Dash during the 2018 offseason via a trade with the Washington Spirit and the defender tallied an assist in 12 appearances for Houston. Chapman joined the Dash on May 9, 2018 via a trade with the North Carolina Courage and started in 15 games for Houston as the team finished with a 9-10-5 record.
