The Toros trailed 2-0 going into the final 15 minutes of the game until forward Michael Salazar scored a brace in a two-minute span.  Forward Carlos Small followed with a go-ahead goal after he cleaned up a shot from midfielder Jesus Enriquez that deflected off both the Galaxy goalkeeper and crossbar. Salazar finished with a hat trick after a lunging effort to capitalize on a ball from Enriquez to defender Conor Donovan inside the box.

RGV can expect defensive reinforcement this evening as Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric and defender Kevin Garcia join the side on loan for the match.

The Timbers enter tonight’s match with their own four-game unbeaten streak after they drew 3-3 with New Mexico United last Friday.
