The Houston Dash acquired midfielder Cami Privett as a supplemental roster player, the club announced today.

Privett rejoins the Dash for her third season with the club. She initially joined the team as an amateur player in 2015 and made four appearances that season. Before the 2016 NWSL season, Privett signed a first-team contract with the Dash and appeared in 15 games. In her two seasons with the team, Privett has seen action as both a defender and a midfielder.

Additionally, Privett spent the 2015-16 NWSL offseason with Norwegian side Kolbotn, where she made 11 appearances and scored three goals.

After initially announcing her retirement before the 2018 NWSL season, Privett returned to professional soccer with Spanish club EdF Logroño of the Primera División, where she spent the 2018-19 season. Privett made 12 appearances for the club, scoring one goal and adding an assist as she helped Logroño remain in the Primera División in their first top-flight season.

Before beginning her professional career, Privett played four seasons for the University of California, Irvine, where she was named the Big West Conference Freshman of the Year after scoring five goals and helping the Anteaters to their second NCAA Division I Tournament appearance.

The Dash will travel to the East Coast to take on the North Carolina Courage Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. CDT at Sahlen’s Stadium in Cary, North Carolina. The match will be streamed live on Yahoo! Sports.
