The Houston Dynamo have loaned midfielder Eric Bird and defender Sam Junqua to Rio Grande Valley FC for their match at Las Vegas Lights FC tonight at 9:30 p.m. CT, the club announced today.
Bird has made four appearances this year (three starts), playing 185 minutes. Junqua has appeared in eight matches this season for RGV FC, providing 17 clearances and making eight interceptions for the Toros.
After snapping their 397-minute scoreless streak in a 2-1 victory over Sacramento Republic FC on July 20, RGV will look to move up in the USL Championship standings when they face off against Las Vegas Lights FC. The two sides are equal on points in the standings and are only separated by a single goal in the goal differential.
The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ beginning at 9:30 p.m. CT.
