The Houston Dynamo have loaned midfielder Eric Bird, defender Sam Junqua and forward Michael Salazar to Rio Grande Valley FC for their match against El Paso Locomotive FC later this evening, the club announced today.
The match is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. CDT kickoff at H-E-B Park and will be live-streamed on ESPN+. The Toros will be seeking their first victory in the season series after a 2-2 draw in West Texas on March 23.
Bird will be returning to RGV for the ninth time this season. The midfielder has tallied one assist in 545 minutes for the squad in 2019. Junqua has 19 clearances and 10 interceptions in 11 appearances for RGV this season. Salazar joins RGV FC for the third time since signing with the Dynamo on June 10. The forward scored nine goals in 15 appearances for the Toros, his first season with the Dynamo USL hybrid affiliate.
