Week five of Australia’s Westfield W-League features some key matchups for our Houston Dash players down under, but there were some pretty big moments in week four to look back on.

Last week, midfielder Haley Hanson scored her first W-League career goal in the Melbourne Victory’s 1-1 draw with the Western Sydney Wanderers. Midfielder Sofia Huerta scored her first goal of the W-League season, but Sydney FC fell 2-1 to Melbourne City FC. Defender Ari Romero played the full match for Perth Glory FC, but were edged out by the Newcastle Jets 2-1.

This week, Haley Hanson and the Melbourne Victory kick things off for the league against Melbourne City FC in the Melbourne Derby on Thursday, December 12 at 2:30 am CDT. The action continues on Friday, December 13 when Ari Romero and Perth Glory host Canberra United at 5:15 am CDT.

Defender Amber Brooks and Adelaide United return from a bye week to take on Brisbane Roar at 12:30 am CDT on Saturday, December 14. Huerta, Veronica Latsko and Sydney FC wrap up the weekend on the road at the Newcastle Jets later that evening at 11 pm CDT.
