Dynamo supporters groups unite as Hustle Town Supporters

Hustle Town Supporters

Houston Dynamo home matches at BBVA Stadium will have a new look and feel starting this season, thanks to the new Hustle Town Supporters coalition.

Just like the city we love and represent, Hustle Town is a diverse group of loyal and passionate Dynamo Supporters. Every game we stand, cheer, and sing for 90+. No matter what. This is our commitment.

If this sounds like you, then we want you standing shoulder to shoulder with us.

Whether you join one of the existing groups or come in as an independent, you will find a home here. Win or lose, rain or shine, our loyalty will not die.

Hustle Town is a way of life.

Hustle Town is made up of two original Dynamo Supporters groups – El Batallón and Texian Army – along with two new groups – The Surge and Bandera Negra. Each has its own unique flair and its own way of adding to the game-day energy, and each group is looking for new members who share their passion.

Membership in Hustle Town is just $35 annually, with the annual dues going toward projects and initiatives decided on by members of each group, such as supplies to paint Tifos, group travel arrangements to Dynamo away matches and group happy hours, among others. Visit HoustonDynamo.com/HustleTown for more information.

Hustle Town members also receive an exclusive scarf designed by members of the group, along with a Hustle Town members card that provides exclusive discounts on team merchandise, access to exclusive events and access to purchase tickets within the Supporters section throughout the season.

El Batallón is instantly recognizable at any Dynamo game as “La Banda del Dynamo,” literally the band. Their horns and drums give BBVA Stadium a sound and energy unlike any other sporting event in H-Town. From the moment they begin marching to the stadium until the moment they leave long after the final whistle, they don’t stop singing, chanting and playing – just like the players they support.

Texian Army adds a visual aspect to the Supporters section. From their giant Texas flag painted in the club’s iconic Orange and Black to player-specific banners and flags that wave for 90 minutes, to massive Tifos, “TA” members give Dynamo match day an unforgettable look and feel.

Founded in 2019, The Surge is committed to supporting the club at every level. This includes the Dynamo Academy, the Houston Dash, the Houston Dynamo Dash Youth Clubs, as well as the club’s volunteer and community initiatives.

Bandera Negra starts the party early on match days, focusing their efforts on getting people fired up before they set foot inside the stadium with great tailgate parties. In the stands, they stand and sing alongside everyone else, showing the same passion and pride.

New groups are expected to join Hustle Town as the coalition continues to grow; and fans who enjoy the energy, excitement and passion of being in the Supporters section can also join Hustle Town as an independent supporter without becoming a member of any specific group.

The Dynamo will go into the 2020 season with one of the most dangerous attacking corps in Major League Soccer. Forwards Christian Ramirez and Mauro Manotas combined for 18 goals and nine assists in 2019, while wingers Alberth Elis and Memo Rodriguez added 16 goals and 15 assists between them. Houston’s arsenal will feature a new weapon with the addition Darwin Quintero, who joined the Dynamo via trade in November and has 21 goals and 20 assists to his credit since joining MLS in 2018.
