The Houston Dynamo revealed their 2020 promotional schedule, featuring exciting fan giveaways, high-value ticket offers and entertaining theme nights all tied into an ongoing celebration of the team’s 15th season in Houston.
The 15th Season celebration will feature the return of several of Dynamo fans’ favorite Dynamo Legends from seasons past, as well as a year of look-backs and special stories about the players, coaches, fans and leaders who helped build the legacy that every Dynamo player now and in the future will strive to uphold.
Single-game tickets for all 2020 home games will go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. CST at HoustonDynamo.com/Tickets and BBVAStadium.com on a first-come, first-served basis. New this season, the Dynamo have utilized variable pricing for their home schedule, which features four “premium” matches and five “value” matches.
Fans can get early access to the best seats and avoid fees by signing up for an exclusive pre-sale opportunity at HoustonDynamo.com/SingleGame. The exclusive pre-sale window will open on Tuesday, Jan. 21, a day before tickets go on sale to the general public.
For the second consecutive season, the Dynamo have pledged to donate $1 from every single-game ticket purchased online at HoustonDynamo.com throughout the season to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in support of their groundbreaking cancer research efforts.
For 14 matches this season, 40 percent of the inventory inside BBVA Stadium will be priced at $32 or less for single-game tickets. This is a departure from last season, in which no regular-price single game tickets were available for less than $30.
The giveaway schedule is highlighted by a pair of bobblehead giveaways this season. The Dynamo will highlight their new head coach with a Tab Ramos bobblehead on Saturday, June 13 when they host Atlanta United FC on Soccer For All Night presented by 76®. Soccer For All Night will highlight all the ways in which the beautiful game unites communities. The club will hand out a Memo Rodriguez bobblehead on Wednesday, Sept. 16 when they host Los Angeles FC for Hispanic Heritage Night presented by Heriberto Ramos & Associates.
On June 27th, the Dynamo will slow things down and pay homage to the godfather of the H-Town hip-hop community with a celebration of H-Town’s unofficial local holiday, DJ Screw Day. Throughout the night, the music and entertainment will have a distinctively chopped and screwed vibe as the club pays tribute to the man who created Houston’s signature sound.
That game will be one of four of the highly popular (713) Nights, which feature $7 tickets, $1 hot dogs and $3 beers. Other (713) Nights will be on Wednesday, April 15 against Minnesota United FC, July 3 against the New England Revolution and August 20 against arch-rivals FC Dallas. Since their introduction last season, the (713) Nights helped introduce thousands of new fans to the Dynamo, as more than 75 percent of fans who purchased a (713) package were either attending their first Dynamo game or their first in more than two years.
Other exciting giveaways include a custom-designed Dynamo t-shirt presented by Pepsi Zero Sugar when the Dynamo host Seattle Sounders FC on March 14 and a collectible Dynamo scarf on End Cancer Night presented by MD Anderson Cancer Center. This marks the second consecutive year that MD Anderson will produce a unique scarf for End Cancer Night as part of the Center’s ongoing jersey sponsorship deal with the Club.
On Saturday, April 4 when the Dynamo host the Portland Timbers, fans can pick up a Dynamo Camo Hat. Saturday, Aug. 15 will see New York City FC return to BBVA Stadium, and fans will receive a commemorative coin courtesy of Coushatta Casino Resort.
The home slate kicks off with Opening Day presented by BBVA when the Dynamo host their longtime rivals the LA Galaxy on Saturday, Feb. 29. Fans will receive a free Dynamo Rally Towel to help spin up the energy to start the season as the Dynamo look to notch back-to-back wins over the Galaxy.
The Dynamo will celebrate America’s independence on Friday, July 3 as they host, fittingly, the New England Revolution. That match will feature a night full of patriotic flourishes, capped off with a postgame fireworks extravaganza presented by Kroger.
The annual Texas Derby match against FC Dallas will kick off the league’s annual Heineken Rivalry Week festivities on Thursday, August 20. Emphasizing Houstonians’ pride in our community and shared distaste for all things Dallas, it’s only natural to feature a (713) Night ticket promotion around this match.
Fan Appreciation Day, the team’s final home game of the year on Sunday, Sept. 27 against their fierce rivals Sporting Kansas City, will feature another giveaway for every fan. The giveaway item for Fan Appreciation day will be announced at a later date.
