Lone Star Adaptive Soccer Team plays halftime exhibition at PNC Stadium

Following a back-and-forth first half with CF Montréal on Saturday evening, fans at PNC Stadium were treated to a special halftime appearance - a showcase match put on by the Lone Star Adaptive Soccer Team.

Centering themselves around Texas' four major metropolitan areas, Lone Star Adaptive Soccer was established to provide athletes of all ages with a variety of limb differences to play soccer in recreational and competitive settings. Through camps, clinics, charity events, and competitive events, LSAS aims to create a safe and competitive space for all involved. You can learn more about this organization and their work here.

Lone Star's appearance this season is especially important as six of their players have been selected as part of the USA Amputee Soccer team that will head to Turkey as part of the Amputee World Cup later this fall. Those interested in supporting the team's journey can donate here.
