Player Notes

  • F Will Bruin made his 175th career MLS regular-season appearance when he came on as a substitute for MF Cristián Maidana in the 71st minute.
  • MF Ricardo Clark registered his fourth assist of the season and 25th of his career when he garnered a secondary assist on F Mauro Manotas’ goal in the 45th minute. Clark’s pass put D Sheanon Williams into space, allowing him to set up Manotas’ tally.
  • It was Clark’s 21st regular-season assist with the Dynamo, passing Bruin for fourth on the club list.
  • Clark made his 30th appearance of the season, starting in the match. It marked the fifth time in his MLS career that he started at least 30 games in a season.
  • Clark also tied Chris Klein and C.J. Brown for 21st on the league’s all-time games started list with his 290th career start.
  • Clark passed Brown for 19th on the league’s all-time minutes played list in the 42nd minute of tonight’s game. He now has 25,755 career minutes played after putting in a 59-minute shift tonight.
  • MF Boniek García started at right midfield. It was his 102nd career MLS regular-season start, which put him past Jermaine Taylor for 11th on the Dynamo’s all-time games started list. It was also his 117th career appearance in MLS regular-season play, moving him past Geoff Cameron and into 10th on the club’s all-time appearance list.
  • García set an MLS career high with his 28th start of the season tonight.
  • García also passed Cameron (9,148) on the club’s all-time minutes played list in the 65th minute of tonight’s game. He now has 9,161 career minutes played and is 10th on the club list.
  • MF Alex Lima received a yellow card for dissent in second-half stoppage time. It was his eighth caution of the season and he will be suspended for Wednesday’s game at the Seattle Sounders.
  • F Mauro Manotas scored his fifth goal of the season when he beat Colorado GK Tim Howard with a low right-footed volley in the 45th minute. The goal tied Manotas for the team lead in MLS competition and gave him a team-best eight goals across all competitions on the season.
  • Manotas scored his second goal of the night and sixth of the regular season in the 81st minute. He struck a free kick from 25 yards on the left edge of the box that stayed low and under the wall and beat Howard to the far post. The shot appeared to take a deflection as it slid under the Colorado wall, catching Howard wrong-footed.
  • All six of Manotas’ goals have come in the last five games.
  • MF Andrew Wenger made his 29th appearance of the season when he replaced MF Ricardo Clark in the 59th minute.
  • D Sheanon Williams made his 175th career appearance in MLS regular-season competition, starting at right back in the contest.
  • Williams recorded his first assist of the season and 22nd of his career when he played a low ball in to F Mauro Manotas in the 4nd minute which the Colombian striker buried in the back of the net.
