The Houston Dash have acquired FC Kansas City’s highest third-round draft pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft in a trade for defender Rebecca Moros, the club announced today.

“Becca will do well in Kansas City and we wish her the best moving forward,” Dash head coach Randy Waldrum said. “She’ll bring a lot of experience and stability to Kansas City as they try to return to the playoffs.”

Moros, 31, started in 16 NWSL contests after joining Houston through a trade with the Western New York Flash prior to the 2016 NWSL regular season. The defender was tied with midfielders Carli Lloyd and Denise O’Sullivan for the third-most assists on the team with three.

The defender will return to FCKC where she started in all 20 regular-season games for the Midwest outfit in 2015.

The Dash open the 2017 season against the Chicago Red Stars on Saturday, April 15. Tickets for that game are now on sale. For more information, visit HoustonDashSoccer.com/2017 or call 713-276-GOAL.
