The Brazos Valley Cavalry FC are happy to announce that Mitchell Cardenas, Juan Martinez and Josue Palomino have signed on for the inaugural season.

Martinez and Palomino are alumni of the Dynamo Academy.

Josue Palomino is in his second season at Houston Baptist University. The midfielder started 13 games last season and recorded an assist. Polomino logged 921 minutes after logging 958 minutes in his freshman campaign.

Juan Martinez spent the 2015-2016 with the Houston Dynamo U-17/18 developmental team. The Dayton, Texas defender started 19 of 21 games and scored one goal.

Mitchell Cardenas comes to the Cavalry FC as a more seasoned veteran than the other signings. Cardenas was taken in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft in the second round by Sporting Kansas City. Though he did not make the opening day roster, Cardenas went on to play for the Atletico Coatzacoalcos of the Mexican Segunda Division. The Mexico City native also had a storied college career at Campbell University, where he was named to the All-Conference team in all four years. Cardenas totaled 22 goals and 34 assists and led the nation in assist with 14 in 2012.

The Brazos Valley Cavalry FC home opener is on Monday, June 5th against Texas United FC at the newly renovated Nutrabolt Stadium.
