Following their NWSL championship in 2014, FC Kansas City has continued to stay near the top of the league table through the first half of 2015. FCKC is currently on a two-game winning streak after downing the Boston Breakers and Washington Spirit in consecutive weeks. Kansas City is led in scoring with four goals by rookie Shea Groom, who was named NWSL Player of the Week but will miss Monday’s match with a broken foot. FCKC welcomes back U.S. Women’s National Team players Amy Rodriguez, Lauren Holiday, Heather O’Reilly and Becky Sauerbrunn.

Monday is the first of three games in a span of nine days for the Dash. After the match in Kansas City, the Dash will travel to Western New York to face the Flash on Saturday. It's another quick turnaround from there, returning to Houston to host FCKC again at BBVA Compass Stadium on July 29.
