  • DF Jalil Anibaba saw his first action of the season at his natural position of center back when he shifted inside following an injury to DF Raúl Rodriguez in the 13th minute. Anibaba finished second among Dynamo starters with a pass completion rate of 91.9 percent.
  • MF Giles Barnes entered the game as a substitute for MF Collen Warner in the 80th minute.
  • Playing alongside a second forward for the first time under interim head coach Wade Barrett, FW Will Bruin tied for the team lead in shots, with four, and in chances created, with four.
  • For the first time this season, MF Ricardo Clark did not start a league match. It ended a streak of 27 consecutive starts dating back to last season. The streak began on August 29, 2015 when Houston hosted Vancouver and earned a 2-0 victory.
