The Houston Dash will look to snap a two-game losing streak as they travel to New England on Wednesday for their final game against the Boston Breakers.

Houston fell 1-0 to the two-time NWSL champion FC Kansas City on Sunday as Houston was held scoreless for the first time in five games. Thirty minutes into the match, the Dash found themselves without captainCarli Lloyd, who left the game in the first half with a left ankle injury. The midfielder will be evaluated on a day-by-day basis.

Defender Bruna Benites returned to the starting lineup after suffering an injury in May.

With a victory, Houston would win the season series and improve its record against Boston to 6-2-1. Houston defeated Boston 1-0 in July and the first meeting finished in a scoreless draw in June. Boston will look to snap a five-game winless streak that began after their July 1 victory over the Washington Spirit. Since then, Boston has earned one point.

Houston remains six points out of the final playoff spot with seven games left this season. With a victory, the Dash would set a new club record for victories in a season with seven. After Wednesday’s game in Massachusetts, Houston will travel to Oregon for their final meeting with Portland Thorns FC during the regular season.

The Dash return to BBVA Compass Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27 to host the reigning NWSL champion, North Carolina Courage.
