Houston Dynamo forward Alberth Elis made In Bed With Maradona’s annual list of the top 100 players age 21 or younger in global soccer, it was revealed this week.

Elis was one of four MLS players – along with New York Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams, New York City FC midfielder Yangel Herrera, and Real Salt Lake winger Jefferson Savarino – to make the list of 100 players they believe will “truly soar” over the next 12 months.

The 21-year-old Honduran scored 10 goals in his first year with the Dynamo while on loan from C.F. Monterrey, and scored the winning goal in extra time of the Knockout Round against Sporting Kansas City. Elis was voted Players' Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year for the Dynamo, and was also named to the CONCACAF Men's Best XI for 2017. The Dynamo exercised Elis' purchase clause to make him a permanent member of the squad and an integral part of 2018 and beyond.
