THE WIN:

  • With DF Alejandro Fuenmayor’s goal in the third minute, the Dynamo have now scored three goals inside of the first five minutes of matches this season and five times inside the first 15 minutes. Houston improved to 3-1-0 this season when scoring inside of 15 minutes.
  • The Dynamo scored first, striking in the third minute through DF Alejandro Fuenmayor. It was the fifth time this season that the Dynamo scored the game’s first goal, and they improved to 3-1-1 when scoring the first goal.
  • The Dynamo scored three goals in the match. It was the third time in five home games this season, and the 11th time in 22 home games under head coach Wilmer Cabrera that Houston scored at least three goals.

  • MF Memo Rodriguez scored his fourth career goal, and first of the season, when he headed home a loose ball in the 90th minute for the game-winning goal.
  • Rodriguez scored his first career game-winning goal with his 90th-minute headed strike.
  • Rodriguez made his 12th career appearance and third of the season when he came on for MF Eric Alexander in the 84th minute.
  • FW Romell Quioto scored his second goal of the season when he fired a direct free kick past LA GK David Bingham from a tight angle on the left side of the penalty area in the 47th minute.
  • Quioto recorded an assist in his third straight game, giving him the longest such streak of his MLS career, when his free kick in the third minute set up DF Alejandro Fuenmayor’s goal.
  • With his assist in the third minute, Quioto matched FW Alberth Elis for the team lead with four on the season.
  • With his goal and assist tonight, Quioto has played a role in eight of Houston’s last nine goals dating back to April 21 vs. Toronto FC, when he scored, assisted or helped create all five of the Dynamo’s goals in a 5-1 win.
  • Quioto made his fourth start of the season and the 18th of his career tonight.
  • DF Alejandro Fuenmayor scored his first goal in Major League Soccer when he volleyed home a free kick from FW Romell Quioto in the third minute. Fuenmayor became the ninth different Dynamo player to score this season.
