The Houston Dash finished a three-game week falling to the Portland Thorns FC 3-1 this evening at Providence Park.

Kealia Ohai cut Portland's lead in half after she capitalized on a rebound inside the six yard box. Taylor Comeau forced a save and the ball fell to Ohai for her fourth goal of the season in the 37th minute.

Emily Sonnett tallied her first assist of the season after she found Lindsey Horan near the penalty box. The midfielder got the ball before Jane Campbell for her eighth goal of the season.

Portland doubled their lead in the 32nd minute after they were awarded a free kick near the 18 yard box. Tobin Heath found Ana Crnogorcevic at the near post and her header was saved by Campbell, but the ball fell to Horan who tapped-in her second goal of the evening.

Portland kicked off the second half with a goal in the first three minutes. Haley Raso filtered a ball to Crnogorcevic inside the box and beat the goalkeeper at the far post.

Rachel Daly found Ohai in space in the 27th minute near midfield. Ohai dribbled into the box but her cross was eventually cleared by Portland after going across the face of goal.

Daly's pressure in the 40th minute forced Thorns GK Adrianna Franch to clear the ball out of the box. Daly got a touch on the ball and was brought down by the goalkeeper as both players contested for the ball.

Houston's best opportunity of the second half came minutes before the final whistle as Ohai found Nichelle Prince inside the box but her curling effort was off target.

Houston returns to BBVA Compass Stadium on Aug. 5 to host Christen Press and Utah Royals FC. Tickets for the match start at $19 and are available at HoustonDashSoccer.com
