Best offseason moves? Dynamo top the list

Following the 2016-17 offseason, it was generally agreed that the Dynamo made some nice, intriguing pickups that would certainly improve the team, although how much was yet to be seen.

Nine games into the season, the Dynamo have the third-highest points per game in the Western Conference (1.78) and are one of the most exciting teams in the league (T-2nd most goals scored with 19). So with the Primary Transfer Window closing on May 8 and all MLS moves done until the window opens again in July, MLSsoccer.com contributor Kurtis Larson picked the Dynamo as his top winner of the transfer window.

While forwards Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto have drawn the most eyes due to their electric pace and goalscoring, he also lauds vice president/general manager Matt Jordan and head coach Wilmer Cabrera for the additions of A.J. DeLaGarza, Leonardo, Adolfo Machado, and Juan David Cabezas for shoring up the defensive end of the field to create a balanced squad.

The Dynamo are off to a good start with a revamped roster, and they'll look to continue their run this Friday night at BBVA Compass Stadium against Vancouver Whitecaps FC (8 p.m. CT | TICKETS).
