Dynamo jump up a spot in the MLSsoccer.com Power Rankings

A four-point week on the road was enough to push the Houston Dynamo up a spot in MLSsoccer.com's weekly Power Rankings.

The Dynamo bumped up to No. 7 after picking up a draw at Minnesota United and their first road win at D.C. United. That's been the knock all year, so the rankers were happy to provide the reward in the arbitrary rankings:

What's that? A road win? If you run fast, you can still catch up to the Dynamo bandwagon.

In the actual standings, the Dynamo are still in third place in the Western Conference with 32 points (9-7-5 record), just two points out of first place. Saturday's opponents, the Portland Timbers, are right behind them tied for fourth place with 30 points (8-8-6 record). While Portland is coming off a win last Saturday at home against the Vancouver Whitecaps, they dropped from 7th to 10th in the Power Rankings due to a 4-1 loss to Real Salt Lake last Wednesday.

Catch the Dynamo back at BBVA Compass Stadium against the Timbers on Saturday night at 7 p.m. (TICKETS).
